Erica grew up in a small town in Indiana with a close family. “I accepted God’s invitation to salvation as a Freshman in college. I was not raised in the church,  but when I got saved I was surrounded by amazing Christians that God used to pour into my life. I was involved in Campus Crusade for Christ and came to Detroit on an inner-city mission trip in 2004.

During this trip, I met a radical, God-fearing man with the Joy of Jesus.  We instantly connected and Jaye Hill and I were married at the end of that year.  We have three children together and God has been faithful throughout all of our ups and downs.  God has blessed my career path and revealed gifts and passion from within that I did not even know I had.

I love young children and educating the adults who care for them. For work, I travel the world training and coaching administrators and teachers on early childhood topics and the importance of high-quality care.  I am currently completing my Master’s degree at the University of Michigan in Early Childhood Leadership and Administration. Upon completion of this degree, my professional goal is to teach at the collegiate level.

In my previous church experiences, I have worked in children’s ministry, directed the child care, and trained and equipped volunteers. I hope to encourage children to be excited about the Word of God and fellowship with others. Through relationship building, I will sow and water so they recognize the importance of their own personal relationship with Jesus.

With all He has given me during this time in my life, I am striving to keep a balanced life. First as God’s daughter, then wife, mother, and a servant to others.  I just want to be all God created me to be.”
